Fiberfrax® Bulk Ceramic Fiber

Fiberfrax® Bulk Ceramic Fiber

Refractory Ceramic Fiber (RCF). Temperature Grade: 1260°C (2300°F), 1425°C (2600°F)

Fiberfrax® ceramic fibres are family of high temperature inorganic fibres designed to be used in a variety of industrial and commercial applications. Manufactured from alumina-silica materials, Fiberfrax® fibres are chemically inert. Fiberfrax® fibres exhibit excellent chemical stability and resistance to attack from most corrosive agents. Fiberfrax fibres also effectively resist oxidation and reduction. If wet by water or steam, thermal and physical properties are restored upon drying. Fiberfrax® fibres contain no water of hydration.

Fiberfrax® Engineered Fibre

Fiberfrax® Engineered Fibres are size and shot content controlled thus increasing the flowability and facilitating its dispersion in a matrix, such as resins or refractory cement compositions.

Fiberfrax® milled fibres can also be used as a compact filler insulation. Customised high surface area fibres can be used as a functional additive in a variety of coatings.
